Wow, what a lot of really good dialog.
I wasnt aware of the stroking option to cheaply turn the L20 into a 2.3 litre.
sounds like a good road option and not too expensive (Thanks Stan).
It's all dollars and preferences.
Me, I like the U20, even if it does keep my pocket empty.

A U20 will put out up to 220 HP it is a larger bore shorter stroke motor
than the L20b, U20 has larger ports, and valves.so it has more HP poetical.
the u20 cost more to rebuild stock over a stock L20b but if you want to get
the same horse power out of the L20b , The cost is about the same. I never
had a L20b 510 or roadster even come close to the acceleration of a pumped
up U20.
Now if you can find a old FIA racing head for the L20b ,that has the same
size valves and ports as the U20 that cost would be at least $2000.00 for
the head and then there's the cost of the solexes another 2000.00.
