For what its worth, the long thin early battery can also be found at Corvair 
parts suppliers.  The early Corvair 61 - 64 used the same one.  There is a 
place called Clark's Corvair Parts in Sherbourne (not sure) Mass that has 
them, as does Larry's Corvairs in Hawthorne  CA (in Los Angeles)
