Drive Drive Drive ! That's what our little cars are for.
Sure, they do deteriorate a bit faster when out in the elements all of the
time BUT... ain't it worth it? We drive Roadsters 'cause they are "just a
little bit off," why not flaunt it? Mine was a WA State daily for many years
and it's seen more than it's share of rain. There was nowhere I wouldn't go
with mine - imagine the looks I got from the hard-core Jeepers out on the
logging roads up in the woods, or those mandatory trips up to the ski-areas
in the thick of the season, all for the "perfect cup of cocoa". 4x4's?, tire
chains? Nah.. who needs them. Best of all.... my Roadster always got me home.
I admit "rode hard and put away wet" was literal, and yeah you gotta work on
them more that way, but isn't that what keeps us going? Look at the
discussions here - if we all really hated working on our Roadsters, we'd get
rid of every last one of them and there wouldn't be a damn thing to talk
about. Who cares if it's a little rough on the outside, if you're too busy
having fun driving it??? While "trailer queens" ARE pretty to look at,
well-earned rock chips are sexy <G>
Ok... soap box is empty now....... <G>
