Hey kids - great discussion and some very good points but-----Let's face it -
anytime you spin or go off the track (excluding mechanical failure) it is the
result of going to fast for conditions - you have lost control! The secret to
avoiding these problems is to drive just below the speed where you, your car,
the track, the traffic and the weather combine to force the error. Within
your own abilities, it is the smooth, fast line, and staying on the track,
that gets the good finish.
If you drive too fast "for conditions", you go off. It is really a simple
concept. It is not fun, nor is it safe, nor will you place well, if you don't
back down a notch from loss of control.
People who go off regularly, just don't have a feel for their car or
conditions and/or they do not care. I do not enjoy racing with them.
