Guys,
Just waded through ~650 messages....haven't turned my computer on for three
weeks. I've been busy. Racing #20 up at RA (I haven't touched the Hauser
car #47 since breaking the ball joint and rolling it in the tirewall).
Thought I'd trashed a trans. Turned out it was only a shredded clutch disc.
Had enough laps to get a finish. Then off to Monterey for the Historics at
Laguna Seca. Three days of car guy heaven! Then over to Gingerman for a
three day club event (I didn't race as the #20 was in pieces). Then back
down to Blackhawk for a race last weekend. Car ran flawlessly again.
Another first in class (four in five starts). Shared the paddock with
Dennis Tobin (#20's PO) as he was crew chief for another roadster
owner/client who just went through school and was driving a car in vintage
for the first time. Two roadsters at BFR for a weekend, haven't seen that
for years!
Anyway, that's all catch-up.
What I really want to get out to all is that I have a '69 roller (body on
frame) for sale in storage in Bob Dicke's barn. Bought it several years ago
intending to restore it to a solexed 2000, but then came the race
car(s)....It's straight, primarily rust free (some surface spots). But it
is rough, P.O. painted it himself, needs stripping and new paint. Was an
original white car with red interior. I have a red seat cover and carpet
kit from Rallye to go with it. It also has a high windshield hardtop. Best
offer or it gets parted out.
