Pulling the Exhaust Manifold

Fellow Roadsterites,

While I have the head off of my 67.5 1600, I've been
cleaning/buffing/painting other stuff.
I can't seem to get the exhaust manifold pulled out of the engine
compartment.  It's getting
hung up between the frame and the block.  Is there a trick to pulling it?
Any ideas?
