Agree with John; my biggest, most noticeable improvement came with
rebuilding the front calipers and the use of a firewall brace.  As John
points out, if you can stop two tons of Jaguar with these calipers, they
are plenty good enough for a roadster.  Also, if you start performance
driving, and use aftermarket wheels, take note that wheel flex may eat
into the balance pipes with obvious detrimental effects on braking.
