If anyone is making further enquiries about this Silvia for sale I have
one very important question:
Is it a left hand drive car?
If the answer is yes, then it is the rarest of the rare. Only one was
made (as a prototype). I can't trace that particular car. I know that
Albrecht Goertz took a Silvia to New York and I believe that this was
also the car that Bob Sharp evaluated for Nissan USA. Unfortunately
neither Sharp or Goertz can remember if this particular car was left or
right hand drive nor can they remeber what became of the car other than
it was displayed at a few motor shows.
I know that a handful of Silvias were taken back to the US by servicemen
who had been serving in Japan (same situation as most of the RHD
roadsters in th US).
Of course, Nissan could have crushed the LHD prototype as they did with
other prototypes but I'm living in hope and dying to find out what
really happened to that LHD Silvia.
