My early '68 2000 has satin headlight trim. I've had this car since 1971,
and am sure that the '68 2000's came with satin. Tom Walter's '68 2000 is
close to the manufacture date of mine, and also has satin.
Other cars may have had theirs swapped over the last three decades. For
instance, my '66 1600 has satin; but it also has large flares so I know that car
is not original. I have also heard that some owners have rechromed their satin
headlight doors (that's what the chrome scoops are called), with a smooth shiny
finish, so there are some 67.5 and 68 cars with shiny trim (non-original).

I was told that ONLY the 67.5 cars had satin headlight trim
Can any roadster guru confirm this? Stan? Ross? anyone?....
