Anyone owning a 67 1600, or close to it, please email me or post some
photos of your restoration work, particularly under the hood and in the
passenger compartment. I am very interested in how some of you routed
wiring harnesses, hoses and the like. Please feel free to comment on any
of the details, if you used specialty materials that work as good or
better than the originals. >>
Hey, what a coincidence! I've been disassembling and working on my '67 the
past few months too. I've got a bunch of photos up on the BADROC page (
http://members.xoom.com/BADROC ) and will be posting some more of the body as
I've been taking it down to metal over the past week.
I'm doing a frame off, but it's not a typical resto. I'm upgrading a lot of
the old/tired/dead components on the car with modern parts. i.e. the wiring
harness I'm going to use is a 21-circuit custom unit bought from EZ Wiring.
It's meant for hot rods, and it's got very cool, labeled wires (instead of
confusing color coding). It's also cheaper than buying new roadster-specific
harnesses, and should work better too (for my application at least). In fact,
a lot of the stuff that I'm replacing on my car is being done in the same
fashion; it's out with the old, and in with the new(er, cheaper, and IMO
better :).
