A week ago the idea of promoting roadsters in the press was addressed in
an attempt to raise their values. Well it took a bit of looking but try the
April, 1997 issue of Automobile Magazine, page 146, under the title of
"Collectable Classic". The article is well written and details a bit of
history and even pokes fun at MGBs! "These little Datsun roadsters are
great fun to drive and rolling proof that real sports cars didn't always
come from Europe. Mr. K should be proud."
As the supporting club it lists Mid-Atlantic Datsun Roadster Owner's Club
( but a few years prior to Mark Dent's resurrection of the club. )
AND, drum roll please, "PRICES: $7500 - $11,500"!
Sorry, but I don't think that article launched a price increase,
thankfully, in our beloved roadsters.
