Quick, pull off a WORKING thermostatic fan and ship
it to the Smithsonian for their archives!

Serious, those little wax peelets rarely lasted this
may years. Nissan issued a recall on them in 1971 or
so! I'd recommend going with the later spacer and using
the replacement 4 bladed fan.

Since the only time you need the fan is below 20mph, odds
are you may never know it has failed until you get stuck
in stop and go traffic on a hot day... and end up overheating
and warpig a head! ;-(
