Question about soft top operation

I've never had a soft top myself...so I was hoping one of you more fortunate 
folks could answer a question for me:
Is it possible to lower the top without having to unsnap the rear end from 
the twisties and posties? i.e. can you just unlatch the front bow from the 
windshield and fold the top down without any problems?
