Matt (and everyone),
A L20B is an old truck motor, they also came in 710's and 810's. I had
one, in one of my old 510's. You can bore .040" and drop in 280Z flattop
pistons. Couple this with the old "dogleg" 5 spd from a 200SX and it's a
nice combo with our 3.9 rear ends. Drop on a pair of dual Mikunis and a set
of headers runnin a 2" pipe and you're lookin at a pretty nice setup for a
little Roadster. Try to get one with a U67 head, bigger valves and lighten
up the flywheel a bit, it really helps off the line pickup.
As for the KA24, also a truck motor, but more commonly used in the 240SX.
L20B is oldschool, KA24 is newschool, take your pick.
Good luck with your build!
