The symptoms you describe are similar to my own problem three years ago.
It was definitely a fuel problem: collapsed interior of the rubber fuel
line delivering to the carbs. Float bowls would run dry at anything more
than a low idle, as the line could not meet a higher demand.
When it dies, are the float bowls full or empty? If empty, fuel delivery
problem: as you have new lines, etc, I would also recommend looking
upstream towards the tank, as in the previous messages. Kinked fuel line
under the car?
