Thanks to all who responded to my request of where to find used car values on 
the net.  Several mentioned that Kelly Blue Book is on line. Their web site 
is www.kbb.com.  Very useful info, as I found out for instance that 96 Legacy 
Outbacks had either 2.2 or 2.5L engines, and from 97-up they are all 2.5's.  
A salesman had told me all years had 2.5 so I wouldn't have thought to look 
at the ID tag to see which it had.
