Subject: Re: your mail
hi john, have a 70 1600 w original emissions still on board. have
carefully removed dried and cracked hoses and disabled the pump. i have the
stock 0 degree btdc dist can or should i recurve it to older specs. also
what is the solenoid between the SUs at the intake?car runs quite well now
except motor num up to 4k i suspect 0 degree btdc intial timing which is
stock spec for a 70. car has 30k mileage.i have reworked SUs and they seem
to work well although fr mixture 2.25turns/rear3.25 turns air flow w/
unisync is even.
fr nozzle originally was stuck lowered choke. the fact i have no or little
fr brakes(no leaks fluid clear, power bled, and spongy but rears lock up)
hasn't stopped me from driving this little roadster.this car sat in a body
shop for 8 yrs. any help would be appreciated.
