NO!

Presure plates are deminionsal the same, the but 2000 has more clamping
force.

Disc and throught bearings are the same between 1600 & 2000
 (& early 510 sedans, too).

I noticed the same thing recently, that the older part listings
showed the same pressure plate for the 1600 & 2000.  The 2000
should be much stiffer. Best best is to get the pressure plate
from one of our Roadster suppliers or through the dealer.

On the Thoughout bearing... I like the OEM type. You have to
knock off the old through bearing off the sleeve, and press
the new one one.

On the little bronze bushing, it is a good idea to replace them.
Are you sure it is only 40K, and not 140K miles? Since the engine
and tranny come out, and you'll have the engine on the floor...
it is not that hard to get at the bushing. Cheap insurance to
replace it now.
