Hearing about Calspeed's misfortune breaks my heart and also made me think
about how I have my cars insured. I live in Georgia which is a no fault
state. I have a 73 240Z and a 68 2000 insured with Allstate and only carry
liability limits. No comprehensive. With a $500 deductible this cost's
about $300 per car per year. I am told that this is their lowest rate. I
don't drive either car over 2,000 miles per year. I am sure that if either
one ever were damaged, there would be a huge dispute over the value of the
car. There has got to be a better way to cover these. Does anyone know of
a reputable insurer that specializes in old automobiles? Or, is there
another solution?
