Most shops that do collision repair will straighten damaged parts before
replating.  Some shops will work with you and polished pieces will
always get better prices  since that is the labor intensive part of the
process.  So the prep work will change the price somewhat depending on
each  shop's practice.  Check with them to see how they will work with
you .   Bill
