I don't think there was ever any issues of safety that caused Pontiac to stop
production of the car.
I have an excellent book on Pontiacs from 1947-to about 1995 and there is a
chapter on Fiero's covering the development, production figures, performance,
etc. If you would like, I will fax or mail you the chapter. Send me an
address or fax no if you would like it.
