No I saw it go off while attached and the field was very contained to the bar, Keep in mind a newer mustang has a whole lot more electronics than a roadster and he had cd player and amps running too. I think a flame thower would cause more damage to the paint job than this tazer. It's called the autotazer and i think just by looking at it I would'nt even look at it twice.
