Hello All,
I have purchased Dean's rear urethane suspension kit. ($80) To
install it I will have to take the leaf springs off the car. But, before
I do this how do you tell if your leaf springs are bad?? I removed the old
shock and I can push up on the tire and compress the springs about a half
inch. I can jiggle the tire up and down and get the spring to oscilating
with an amplitude of a couple of inches..
If anyone out there has the comp springs(rear) on their daily
driver could you please tell me how you like them?
Here's a reciepe for wierd handling. Install your new comp
springs-swaybar and kyb full gass shocks up front. Then go for a ride with
the original 30 yr old shocks in back. The front end felt great, tight and
glued to the road. Not harsh at all with the full gass shocks. Whip around
a corner and feel the back end kinda float and wiggle-jiggle for a LONG
while
afterwards. Yuck!!
