Dear Brett and Bob,
Thank you for giving my cry for help such a wide circulation.
Unfortunately an error has crept into the message: I have NOT been told
that the one we have now is a V-8 Rear Assembly. The photos have been
identified as a Type A Midget Rear End, which does not have a straddle
bearing. I have been advised that the V-8 Rear End looks very similar
and is much stronger, and that parts like the differential, pinion and
ring gear and quick change gears are still available on the after
market.:
