Hello Andres,

Generally, 1/16 in. per wheel is used.  If it seems hesitant to turn in, you
can go more toward zero toe-in (some slalomists like to use toe-out for very
quick turn-in... I don't think it's a good idea for an Elan, personally).

No Elan I've ever driven has had any problem turning in but some of this
preference can come from driving style differences.  It seems counterintuitive
but if you want your car to track around a turn very fast but not rotate (sort
of "front intensive" handling), go for less toe-in.  If you want it to rotate,
use something closer to stock toe-in.  Basically, you are building in enough
stability to apply power in the turn while the car is on the loose side.  The
Elan's natural balance is enough to allow great turn-in (completely subject to
driver technique).
