Mallory dizzy

Thanks for the immediate replies to my first questions about the 'new' TR8.
Suggestion made was to use a contemporary late model GM dizzy to replace the
Mallory unit with dual points. Late model GM would have newer more reliable
ignition(?) and simplify set up. Anyone have experience or knowledge of what
dizzy would be a fit on the TR8? Off to the bone yard after bringing home the
TR6 from long winters nap. Thanks again.    Rick
