Rover 4.2 crank question

All,

As my crazed 4.2 project progresses I find it harder to get clear info on
what some of the differences are. For instance, the main bearing catalog
numbers are different between the 3.5-3.9 and the 4.2, the big end bearing
are the same. What gives? What, besides the crank stroke, is different? Any
and all answers and advice are welcomed!
