A friend just brought in his 109 Land Rover that has a 3.5 V8 with dual
Strombergs.
Sounds like he spun at least the first two rod bearings. I will be dropping
the pan and checking it this weekend. On the chance that it is worse than
it sounds, can a 3.9 or 4.0 bolt in? (understanding the electronics, fuel
injection, returns, etc.) Can the carburetted intake plenum be bolted to a
later model long block? What would be the mods necessary?
