Here is a bit of info that some of you may be interested in: This
morning while researching carb prices I found that the Edelbrock 1404
carb can be purchased from www.partsamerica.com for $176.73 including
shipping - they have a 25% sale going on for online purchases right
now. Just insert 1404 in their part number search - it does not show up
in their carbs under 600 cfm category. The Edelbrock 1404 is one of the
carbs recommended in the Vol. VI Issue 1 of the MG V8 newsletter.
Apparently this carb is a 500 cfm carb that is essentially the same as a
Carter AFB 9503, except that the Edelbrock comes with a warrantee, where
the Carter does not.
