As previously noted by Jim Stuart the answer is yes.
His comment about getting a 4-speed bell housing is important.
The three speed bell housing will not work!
Although, as he noted, you will find some combination 3-speed 4-speed
housings that will work.
Please also note:
The original 215 manual boxes used a 10 spline input shaft.
As such the original clutch disks had 10 spline hubs.
Many newer boxes (be they T5's, newer T10's, or whatever) will use a finer
spline input shaft.
This is no problem.
You just need to get a clutch disk with a hub to match your transmission.
Any clutch rebuilder should be able to help you out with that.

Subject: Belhousing for Buick 215
Hi, Folks,
I've been looking into gearbox setups for buick 215s.
Is it true that you can take the belhousing off a manual transmission buick
\ olds 215 and bolt it up to a 'modern' T 5 gearbox?
Is anybody out there doing this?
Thanks in advance.
