As some of you may recall, I sent out an email some weeks ago about my Troop
Calls effort. Well, this years donation drive has proven to be as
successfull as last years, raising almost $1800 for the purchase of pre-paid
calling cards for our troops serving overseas. Given the economic situation
many of us are facing, I'm more than pleased with what we've accomplished.
In the 3 drives we've had, we've raised over $7500 and will have purchased
over 40,000 minutes of talk time form Iraq and Afghanistan.
We have 10 days left in this drive. I'd again like to appeal to those that
can give to consider a donation of any amount. It will help us exceed last
years totals and put more smiles where they're needed.
