At our swap meet and auction yesterday, a fellow British car enthusiast
approached us looking for a buyer for a 1967 Austin Healey 3000 he
wishes to part with. The following information was provided by him:
* One ower since 1972. Car has been garage kept since
approximately 1974. It has not been driven since 1987.
* Approximately 80,000 miles.
* Complete and mostly original (paint, carpets and top have been
redone ) including radio.
* Dark gray with tatn top and black interior. Body has some rust
in the usual Healey places (rockers, rear dog leg, trunk lid).
* Original black tonneau (with bow) and boot.
* Engine rebuilt in 1973 at approximately 60K after rod bearing
failure. When last running, it had low oil pressure and was making a
light tapping sound (did not sound like bottom end).
* When last running, the transmission was OK, but would sometimes
jump out of second gear under heavy deceleration. Overdrive worked
properly.
* Various extra parts and manuals.
