I just recently purchased replacement pistons for the engine in my '59
Austin Healey BT7. In comparing the new pistons with the old pistons
there is no issue with measuresments, etc. but there is an additional
ring on the new pistons (toward the top of the piston). Should I send
these back to the vendor or is this not an issue? I'm a novice and I
have a machine shop here in town helping me with the rebuild. They're
asking me if there is a problem and I am not sure.
