I have seen these cars. The No Rust one was originally light blue. The
under-hood area is this color and is surprisingly clean. The outside of the
body is amateur yellow paint. The car does appear rustless. Neill claims to
have had the engine running. This car wears an aftermarket hardtop with a
poorly-fitting Plexiglas rear window. Forgot the brand, but the logo on it
looks like a "body by fisher" coach. Neill says he has a tonneau and a soft
top for it. I did not ask to see them. There are some dents here and there,
but nothing frightening. The original seats are there, and would need to be
redone. This would be a good car for a restoration or a vintage racer.
The Rust car looks basically straight with the usual rust in the A pillar
and spots of light rust everywhere. There is no discernable paint color.
The seats look even worse than the ones in the No Rust Car.
The garage contains the usual piles of engine, gearboxes and parts
therefore.
The cars are both rollers. I think 7 of the wheels are the early Sprite
wheels wit the access holes (for brake adjustment?).
He needs to liquidate this stuff to for a divorce settlement.
Phone Neill at 651-227-6846. I do not know Neill and have no financial
interest in these cars. They just happen to be in a garage a mile from my
house. I will go back to do more inspection only after you have phoned
Neill and had a serious discussion with him. Just tell him the guy with the
Lotus Europa sent you. He will remember that since I stopped in on him on
my way home from the Healey club gymkhana, so he saw my Lotus.
