Jensen has been on the brink for 30 years, and has gone under several
times but keeps getting resurrected. The most recent attempt to
revive the name just folded in June. However, newspaper reports this
week out of the UK indicated that at least one serious buyer has
already surfaced.
When Jensen folded the first time ('76), the parts and service
departments were reopened as a separate company called Jensen Parts
and Service. This allowed car owners to continue to receive factory
authorized service, parts, maintenance, and restoration. Maybe if AC
folds they will do a similar thing.
Even if AC does fold it would not surprise me to see the name revived
eventually. Hopefully AC won't become another Jensen but, based on
your message, that's what it's looking like.
