Listers, today I stopped by my local PPG auto paint store for a pint of paint
for my "3", just took the spare tire door (paint is 10 years old now) with me
and told the man what I wanted, he pulled out a square box with some gauges
and dials top, pressed the box down on my door and moved it 3 times for good
coverage he said, we went back inside he plugged it into his mixing computer
and within 30 seconds he had the formula for mixing my paint to the "exact"
shade and that was it, no guess work , no tinting, just all computer work, I
have no idea how many auto paint stores use this system I do know PPG has it.
