Another way to save a bob or two is to hire an older car. Last year we
hired one (I think a '94 Peugeot) from a village outside Mildenhall for
about #sterling 55 per week!!! Easy enough to find if you choose a
location and pull up the website, just look around it and you'll find some
great deals on just about everything. Anything in London is expensive, so
if you are looking to make it a cost efficient trip look outside the
boundaries for lodging and car hire. Bed and Breakfasts are always a good
alternative to hotels, and the fare is usually much better. Often the
owners have knowledge of the local area that you can pick up, just for the
asking.
