IMO that's very unlikely to be the problem, unless it's become contaminated
with water (condensation) or something.

Still, a can of starting fluid is only a few $$, it's worth trying a spritz
into the carb throat(s).  If the engine fires then dies, you know you've got
a fuel problem.
