Having beena British car Dealer in the early 70 tru the 84 I can assure you 
the many of these problems did make it all the way to the dealership and were 
on the lot for sale before they were found. Here are a few of the other ones 
that we had
1. TR6 you would slam the drivers door and the starter would crank 

2. MGB pull the handbrake and the starter cranks

3. TR7 which never had a headgasket installed

4. XJ6 that had no window regulator in the door and a piece of wood jammed in 
there to hold the window up

5.  MGB with wire wheels on one side and disc wheels on the other

6. Turn signal switches wired in reverse so the left flashed when you 
operated the right switch.
