Well, probably not, since BA covers a smaller range of fasteners
than is in common use on cars. (They're smaller than 1/4 inch
in diameter.) I would expect any car with Whitworth
(BSW) fasteners to use BA for any small fasteners. They're more
common on motorcycles than cars.

Metric Multistandard has a good selection of BSW, BSF, BSP, BSPT and BA
fasteners and tools, and a good technical reference section that
covers their detailed specs. Check out

click on Catalog (PDF), wander down to section 8 and look for
the page on BA thread forms. The only problem is that the 
dimensions are all in millimeters! :-)

British Tools and Fasteners also has a good supply of 
this stuff, including some in stainless, and their website
has lots of tech info (not as cleanly laid out, though).
