Regarding grinding the crank, I seem to remember reading an Internet posting about TR Stag crankshafts -- that some of them weren't hardened as deep as others, and if you had them reground you could cut into the softer metal which wouldn't hold up very long. anyone else hear of this, and is it a concern for a TR7? thanks.
