Anglia 100E timing

Hey All;

   Was wondering if anyone knew the timing specs for this 1958 Anglia 100E 
(English Ford Escort) flat head 4 cyl? I have the dwell set at 40, but the 
points are really wide open, maybe .030 or so. I tried setting them to .016 
but the dwell went to 50 and it started running crummy. Also, where is the 
timing mark on these guys, and what should it be set to? Thanks for any 
help.
