The Illinois Sports Owners Association Cordially Invites You To:
The 1995 VTR National Convention: North American Triumph Challenge XX
July 26 - July 30, 1995 Rockford, Illinois
Reserve your spot now for what promises to be the largest, best attended VTR
National Convention ever, the 20th Anniversary North American Triumph
Challenge.
This year's event, hosted by the Illinois Sports Owners Association (ISOA),
will take place at the Clock Tower Resort and Conference Center in Rockford,
Illinois. Our featured model will be the TR7 as we celebrate its 20th
anniversary. Located 1-1/4 hours northwest of Chicago, Rockford and the Clock
Tower Resort offer all the amenities of a superb convention facility with the
easy accessibility and affordability of a smaller city.
In anticipation of nearly 400 Triumphs and over 600 enthusiasts from around
the continent and the world, an activity-packed agenda has been put together
offering something for everyone from the most ardent enthusiast to the casual
sometime-passenger:
DRIVING EVENTS
* FUNKHANA
A light-hearted competition where you and your car engage in a zany
stop-watch challenge.
* AUTOCROSS
At the Rockford Speedway, a 1/4 mile paved oval/figure 8 course. Whether
you are an accomplished racer, a novice autocrosser, or simply desire to get
your car on the track to see what it will do, this one's for you.
* TSD (time, speed, distance) RALLYE
The perfect opportunity for you and your passenger/navigator to hone your
driving and navigational skills while driving through the pleasant back
roads of the prairie state.
* FUN RALLYE
We'll let you look at the sights along some of the same roads as on the TSD
rallye, instead of concentrating on your stopwatch, speedometer and route
instructions. We promise not to try to get you lost along the way!
TOURS
* For the early risers, the Breakfast Tour will give you an opportunity to get
out on our scenic roads before sitting down to a buffet style breakfast.
The first 200 people to register for the tour will also receive a
commemorative porcelain coffee mug.
* Want to take in a walking event? Tour the Clock Tower Resort's renowned
Time Museum during the Hotel Rallye.
SOCIAL EVENTS
* Want to wind down after spending a day traveling to the convention in your
Triumph? Spend a few hours with your friends, both new and old, at the Pool
Party. We'll supply the beverages and snacks, so all you have to worry
about is relaxing.
* After a day at the track, join us at a private wooded park along the river
for a Midwest Cookout. We've planned a number of activities including Valve
Cover Racing and Club Competitions.
OTHER EVENTS
Something for everyone from early morning to late evening:
* Craft, model & photo contest. If you've made it, built it or snapped it
yourself, bring it!
* Come to the Auction and you just might find that one part you just can't
refuse!
* Technical Sessions
* Visit the Autojumble to purchase both new and used parts.
SHOW AND AWARDS BANQUET
* CONCOURS COMPETITION
See how your car stacks up against the nation's best. Compete against VTR's
400 point judging system, not just other cars. We encourage you to register
for this event.
* PARTICIPANT'S CHOICE COMPETITION
Registrants select their favorite car in each class. All cars welcome.
* AWARDS BANQUET
This year's reception and banquet will take place at the Clock Tower Resort.
Join the group for socializing, event awards and a good time.
And, for a REAL Bonus...

year, takes place July 21-23 at Road America, the most beautiful road course
