At the eleventh hour, I realize that I will be in Washington, DC most of next
week, and
would welcome the opportunity to meet any SOLers in the vicinity of the
Washington
Sheraton Hotel. As the purpose of my trip is attending the Transportation
Research Board
Annual Meeting, and lbcs are (sometimes) a form of transportation, I think it
is
appropriate to invite local SOLers to a reception hosted by TTI on Tuesday, 24
January
1995, 5:30-7:00 pm local time at the Sheraton Washington (ask at desk for room
number and
do your best impersonation of a transportation researcher, DOT type, traffic
signal
salesman, etc.). Usual fare is chips, dips, bar (maybe cash bar, because of
some recent
liability concerns) so seek me out before you hit the bar and I'll buy one.
Probably will
be 200-300 there, look for the only guy (probably) with a grey Stetson.
Regards, and happy New Year.
