On the weekend of Jan 28-29, I will be teaching with the
National Auto Sport Association at Sears Point.
Since NASA now has a 1:1 student/teacher ration in their
beginning class, my student will be Marek, who the following
week will be taking the SCCA school in "my" G production
Spitfire.
This weekend will also be the first time that the
Spitfire will be on the track in the last three years
(It's only been in my possesion 6 months), so we are
going to use the weekend as an opportunity to debug
and tune up the spitfire. In order to have something
reliable to drive during the school, we will also be
bringing Mareks TR-6 and my MGB-GT.
Here's the situation, two drivers and three british
sports cars for a weekend at the racetrack. We could
use some help. We could also use help getting
extra vehicles, such as my RV, to the track.
Mechanical ability is not a requirement. There are
a lot of things that need to be done around the paddock
that can be learned in a couple of minutes.
Since it is a NASA, not an SCCA event,
we are not limited to how many people can get in to help
us.
Payment will probably be tendered in Pizza, Beer and
possibly rides around sears point (at speed) in my MG.
Though not all at once.
Sears point is located, about equidistant from Sonoma,
Novato and Vallejo in Central California.
We are also looking for help the weekends of the SCCA
school: Feb 4-5 & Feb 18-19.

If you are interested in helping, e-mail me at
lrc@netcom.com, or call 408-335-7505.
Or call Marek at 408-249-7669.

    Larry
