RE TR4 lower pulley removal . Remove #1 sparkplug with cylider
in firing position, verify by rotor button location. Rotate
crankshaft one half turn clockwise and stuff a nylon rope in
the plug hole. Loosen the pulley bolt! This also works on
small engines to remove flywheel nuts. Be certain both valves
are closed though.
RE MGB V-8 or V-6 conversions, I'm in the middle of one and
have many questions. Particularly concerning steering rack
clearance and engine setback. All help appreciated. But won't
it be fun when it's finished!
