I had a bumper (not an MGA bumper btw) straightened and chromed last
spring. I took it to a local bumper shop but I think the actual work
was done by an outfit in Minnestota. I was pretty happy with the result
except that the curvature of the bumper was not *quite* right. When
placed on its mountings, the ends of the bumper were about 3/4" away
from body (they needed to bolt to the body). A slight tweak made it
fit. The finish was very good and the price was not all that bad at
$200, especially considering that new ones are not available at any
price! It took about 14 weeks to get it done. They stripped it, fixed
some flat spots, and did the re-chroming.

Good luck,
Mike
