the question should be "Whats the difference between Consul, Zephyr and
Zodiac?
All are british Fords produced between 51 and 66.
They had common body styes for each period Mk 1,II and III,IV.
Consul was a Four cylinder 1703 engine Zephyr and Zodiac both ran 2553cc
sixes.
Zodiac was more up market and in some mks was identified by twin
headlights and interior fitting eg. leather and woodwork. Zodiacs also had
more go with better carbs and exhausts.
Both "Popular Classics" and "Practical Classics" have run articles on the
various marks. the last in Jan 94 in Pop Classics.
They rust. Running gear is cheap and reliable.
