Which also answwers the question about using a diode to protect the 
ignition points- In this case, you *want* to get the coil to make big voltage 
at one end- if you were to stick in a diode, you'd reduce the spark 
capability of the circuit!

No, just uncommon. I only recall a couple actual Morgan owners here through 
the years. There just aren't that many around.

That reminds me- someone here is looking for a +8, in reasonable condition. 
East coast preferred, but all considered...
