I must take exception to Gene Myszkowski's letter as pertaining to the
following blurb:

east.........
Being a displaced New Englander, now located in North Carolina (no road
salt !), I must say with some reservation, (my Yankee pride),
that Mt Mitchell, located in Western NC is about 150' higher than Mt.
Washinton.
By the way, me and my little spitster made it to the top of Mt Mitchell,
the highest point in the east. But I'll tell you, the view from Mt.
Washington is a heck of alot prettier.
